Need something to read as the temperatures get colder and going outside becomes a nightmare? Looking to get rid of the books you received as gifts last year? Need some help beating your Goodreads Reading Challenge? Our seasonal book swap is back and it’s here to solve all of your (book related) problems.
This time, on December 19th, we’re taking over The Phillips Collection for an evening of free books, (cash bar) drinks and incredible art. Bring some books, take some books, have a drink and enjoy free access to the galleries. It might actually be the perfect first date.
Let us know you’re coming so we know how many tables and books we’ll need to make sure everyone goes home with some new winter reads.
You don’t need to bring a book to participate, but it would be nice. You can bring as many books as you’d like to unload because we all know giving is better than receiving. There’s no cover and a cash bar is on site. Tell your literate friends!
P.S. What doesn’t get picked up, we’ll donate to Carpe Librum, because literacy matters.
P.P.S. We will be doing a special selection of art books and coffee table books (great gifts!) since, well, we’re at The Phillips collection. IMPORTANT BONUS: Everyone who attends will also have after hours access to The Phillips Collection‘s gorgeous exhibitions.
P.P.P.S. Everyone who RSVP’s automatically enters for a chance to win magical things courtesy of us / The Phillips Collection that will make your 2020 better. Never say we don’t love you SO MUCH.
See you soon / check out how great the summer edition was…
