Kicking things off with storytelling ‘n talks…

Washington Performing Arts will be premiering the first of six short films from its Dance in DC series on Monday at 7pm ET; this time the focus is on the one and only Crazy Legz performing at Ben’s Chili Bowl.

F. Murray Abraham, Matthew Broderick, Jin Ha, Sonia Manzano and Karen Pittman will be waxing poetic on New York City with a selection of short stories, essays ‘n poems at 7:30pm ET on Wednesday via Symphony Space. The one and only Wyatt Cenac is set to host.

Speaking of Wednesday, Orion Carloto will be launching new mixed media book, Film for Her, on Wednesday at 7pm ET. Tickets start at $23.99.

You can also catch Alison Brie, Andrew Rossi, Sarah Amos and Jason Sterman with Angélique Roché via 92Y on Wednesday for a conversation about their new documentary series Marvel’s 616. Starts at 6:30pm ET, free to tune in.

AND Hirshhorn will host another free virtual artist talk on Wednesday, this time with Sterling Ruby at 7pm ET.

On Thursday, meanwhile, you can tune into a live Air & Space Museum chat with Victor Glover, who’ll be comin’ at us all the way from the flippin’ ISS! That’s happening at 12:30pm ET.

Plus Ernest Cline will be talking Ready Player 2 at 7pm ET on Thursday via Strand Bookstore; tickets to that will run you $33.99.

In the realm of CULINARY LEARNING…

Brooklyn Brainery is hosting a bunch of online classes this week – learn to make your own yogurt at 7pm ET on Monday ($22), take a DIY miso class on Wednesday at 7pm ($22), find out all about the history of scotch whisky at 6:30pm ET on Thursday ($6), discover the art of making your own vinegar from fruit scraps on Friday at 7pm ET ($22), and/or take a crash-course in homemade tempeh on Sunday at 10am ET ($28).

Meanwhile, Nik Sharma will be giving a $35 crash course on samosa pie on Saturday at 6pm ET for Books Are Magic.

On Sunday, you can hit up another Sixth & I baking with Sonny’s class at 4pm ET; this time it’s all about DONUTS, and tickets are $30.
