Naturally, we want to celebrate this amazing holiday in style. Lucky for us, we live in the nation’s capital (if you weren’t already aware) which calls for us to party even harder. Because ‘Merica. Astro’s Doughnuts and Fried Chicken

What & How Much: Astro’s will be offering their July Fourth to-go box full of USA themed doughnuts, fried chicken, cole slaw, and cheddar biscuits for $55. It feeds four people and is a great picnic option. Put in those pre-orders!

Bayou Bakery

What & How Much: Oh boy. The Merican Pie Challenge. Entry is $40 but it’s free if you can complete this challenge: eat a hotdog stuffed with cornbread in a hamburger pie-crust layered with mac and cheese tossed tater-tots, encolsed with mashed potatoes and topped with chicken fingers and bacon, along with a cup of chili and finish with a slice of Key-Lime Pie. What & How Much: If you’re forced to hang out with some kids on the 4th, this is a pretty solid call. The family friendly party will kick off with Rocknoceros, a children’s band. Still want to party hard? The Waterfront Beer and Wine Garden will open at 1 p.m. so you can get appropriately smashed in the company of your small children.
