Happy lunchtime, DC! This week is rife with fall menus, Thanksgiving prep (yes, already), exciting announcements, and of course some of the best food porn around. There are plenty of weekend events to hopefully inspire you to get more use out of your kitchen. Dig in!

- Jackson 20 hosted their Turkey, Bourbon and Cigars dinner a month ahead of Thanksgiving to get us in the holiday spirit.
- DC industree’s Fuck Forks, benefiting Fuck Cancer, was a raucous success void of manners and utensils.
- A new wine bar, Eno, opens in Georgetown and focuses on locally-sourced charcuterie, wine and cheese.
- Ripple’s fall Rhone menu focuses on expert pairings that emphasize the amazing duo running the show.
- Finally, Bluejacket opens its doors in Yards Park, boasting impressive original ales and lagers.
- And naturally, this week’s Happy Hour Hotline is Halloween themed. Best of luck to your livers tomorrow!

- Tonight, HRC presents Chefs for Equality, a fundraising dinner with over 30 chefs and 20 bartenders from DC’s finest dining establishment. Oh, and Tim Gunn is hosting.
- Tomorrow, Cork Market hosts a fall champagne tasting with “5 tastes, 5 bites.”
- Also tomorrow, get in the happy hour spirit with Spirits in Black, the all-metal cocktail event that is finally happening Halloween night.
- On Friday, Capital Wine School hosts an introduction to wine tasting basics, with emphasis on blind tasting techniques.
- Al Dente DC serves up a five-course seasonal White Truffle Dinner. RSVP within.
- The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum joins his fall’s massive lineup of Oysterfests this Saturday, featuring oysters prepared in every way imaginable.
- Metropolitan Cooking Show, or in this case Metro Cooking DC, takes over the DC Convention Center this weekend for a smorgasbord of cooking demos, lectures, and celebrity chef signings.
- Meanwhile at Union Market, The Kids Food Festival sets up shop for the weekend and miraculously makes healthy eating and food education appealing to children.
- DC’s got an impressive array of breweries, so spend Saturday on the DC Brew Bus for a tour of the district’s iconic breweries.
- Rustico returns with Novemberfest, the block party behind the restaurant that features 50+ strong autumn ales.
- Cheninista hits Pearl Dive this Saturday, celebrating the fabulous Chenin Blanc with tastings.
- The Mother Seton Academy hosts their 7th annual wine auction on Saturday as well.
- On Monday, Tel’eh hosts a First Mondays Oyster Class to properly welcome November.
- Also on Monday, Graffiato gets back into the swing of Industry Takeover Night, with a heavy Korean influence this month.
- Peregrine schools you in coffee with their Espresso Fundamentals Class. There are several dates available, the first of which is next Tuesday 11/5.
