As if the Jimmy Fallon and The Roots’ collaborations couldn’t get any poppier (“Call Me Maybe” with Carly Rae Jepsen, anyone?), the “Late Night” talkshow team delivered a colorful, endearing and stripped-down performance of “All I Want for Christmas Is You” with Mariah Carey last night.
We’re pleased to say it blows Jepsen’s appearance out of the water (sorry, Carly). How can you compete with one of the greatest Christmas hits of all time and a choir of adorable children in funny hats? You can’t.
It is impossible not to smile and feel all warm and fuzzy watching this. Try it, we dare you. All we want for Christmas is a giant framed picture of ?uestlove in that sweater.
