The Hit List: Things To Do Tonight in D.C.
Brandon Wetherbee | Sep 5, 2017 | 10:00AM |

Welcome to your daily Hit List featuring the shows, events, gatherings, and so on that will keep your social life slightly above average.

The theater/screening pick of the week is the Angels in America at Shakespeare Theatre Company. Part 1 will be staged by the National Theatre Live tonight and tomorrow night.

Excellent New Orleans duo Caddywhompus plays Songbyrd.

The Arsonists begins a run at Woolly Mammoth.

Comet Ping Pong has a solid lineup of Big Hush, Alien Boy, Beverly Tender and Saturday Night. I will never understand naming a band something like Saturday Night. They’re intentionally going for a who’s-on-first? interaction, right? It’s tough naming bands but having to explain that the name you picked is actually the name must be tougher.

Back to school!
