Summer is tourism season. Families from around the world will visit D.C. Some members of your family might come and stay in our Nation’s Capital. The Think Food Group’s Georgetown restaurant, a place we’ve highlighted as the most family friendly in their stable, is taking diners on a road trip through America this summer.
America Eats in in the midst of their Summer Roadtrip Festival. We recently enjoyed their Carolina smoked shrimp ‘n’ grits from, you guessed it, the Carolinas and the soft shell crab with succotash from Virginia. Similar to their everyday menu, the special menu is approachable for the leery diner afraid of the unfamiliar. Who doesn’t like shrimp ‘n’ grits? Who doesn’t like soft shell crab? The dishes are familiar and better than anything coming from your kitchen. The smoke on the shrimp ‘n’ grits is what sets it apart from what you might be used to.
Last week was Dine-N-Dash. We visited multiple Think Food Group restaurants, enjoying cuisines from around the globe. Yesterday we recommended visiting the Crystal City Jaleo for their 17th Annual Paella Festival Kickoff Party. Today we’re All-American, recommending the only Georgetown Think Food Group restaurant, a restaurant that serves an All-American menu. If you don’t think a patriotic menu is for you, just try the strawberry shortcake. It’s one of the best desserts we’ve had this year.
