Last weekend, S. J. Ewing & Dancers performed TRANSIT a new work in the Dupont Underground created specifically for the Dupont Underground. The performance used the once abandoned 1949 trolley station with an energetic, enthralling choreography to ask questions about time, our inner selves and the physical environment around us.
The performance made excellent use of projections which really work well with the walls and space of the Dupont Underground. The interplay between the dancers and projections, not always easy to pull off, worked well.
TRANSIT was created and presented through a support from the DC Commission on the Arts and with the support of CulturalDC and CityDance.
