EVENT: FotoBazaar (10am-6pm, FotoBazaar Central, 51 N Street NE) – The second annual FotoBazaar is here, with work from over 80 different photographers on display (and for sale!). FotoBazaar is free and open to the public today and Sunday from 10-6.

LAST WEEKEND OF FOTOWEEK: NAT GEO YOUR SHOT MEET & MINGLE & PROJECTIONS (3-6pm, Fotoweek Central) – Please join us 3-6pm at FotoWeek Central to meet and network with other photographers on site, enjoy pizza from our friends at &pizza (Delivered warm at 3:30pm), peruse wonderful photo books donated to us by the Photo Curatorial Department of National Gallery of Art, music from a FotoDC DJ and a cash bar.  National Geographic Your Shot editors will be in attendance to meet and mingle and the afternoon will include a special projection at Fotoweek Central. Photos from the #yourshotmeetup and #fotodc hashtags from the National Geographic Your Shot site will be projected onto three screens as well as photos from our digital platforms here at National Geographic including our photography blog Proof, assignments from News, and our archive Found.

LECTURE: Branding Your Photography Online: Websites and Social Media (11am-1pm, Leica Store Washington DC) – In this two-hour seminar, David Bram and Jennifer Schwartz will discuss the importance of maintaining a consistent, professional and recognizable brand. The components of a great portfolio website will be outlined, and participating photographers will leave with an easy and effective social media strategy. Tickets are $50, register here.

ARTIST TALK: Anthony Palliparambil, Jr. (1-2pm, Hillyer Art Space) – Hillyer Art Space Member, Anthony Palliparambil Jr., will discuss his work that revolves around the roles of rebirth, technology, and social media in the arts today. FREE.

LECTURE: Avenues for Exposure to Your Photography: Galleries, Publishing and Online Magazine (3-5pm, Leica Store Washington DC) – There are many ways to gain recognition and exposure for your photographic projects. David Bram and Jennifer Schwartz will discuss how to approach galleries, photobook publishing options, and showing your work through online blogs and publications in this two-hour seminar. Tickets are $50, register here.
