EVENT: Young @ Heart: A selection of the finest BYT photography in 2014 (6-8pm, Fotoweek Central) – With an archive that at last count included 221,964 photos (and growing every day) there is no stone unturned when it comes to music, art, dancing or romancing in these photos. We are excited to invite you for our second annual FOTOWEEK show to see a couple hundred of our favorite shots of 2013 and 2014 which feature celebrities, our city and probably me, you and everyone we know. This is not the event photography you’ve come to expect, this is something special. Come enjoy photos, music, cool people, and a cash bar. FREE.


BOOK SIGNING: Meet-and-Greet with Craig Semetko (11am-2pm, Leica Store Washington DC) – The author of UNPOSED and India UNPOSED will be at the Leica Store to meet fans, sign his books, and discuss his work. Semetko is a connoisseur of the spontaneous moment. With a keen eye for serendipity, he captures the offbeat and the unusual to be found all around us. Semetko will also be giving an artist talk at 7pm in the Leica Store.

FOTOTALK: Photography for Social Change (5-6pm, FotoWeek Central) – As part of Critical Exposure’s “From Darkroom to Digital: 10 Years of Developing Youth Voice,” this workshop will explore photography as a method of creating social change and will feature a presentation by Critical Exposure youth about using photography to improve schools.

ARTIST TALK: Craig Semetko (7-9pm, Leica Store Washington DC) – Join us for a lively presentation from exceptional photographer, Craig Semetko. Craig will be discussing his photographic career in addition to sharing the stories behind the images found in his acclaimed books UNPOSED and India UNPOSED. Earlier in the day, Semetko will host a meet-and-greet and book signing at the Leica Store. RSVP by emailing [email protected]

ARTIST TALK: Jason Horowitz (6-7pm, NOVA Community College) – Come to the Northern Virginia Community College Alexandria Campus Tyler Gallery for a reception and artist talk with photographer Jason Horowitz. Horowitz’s exhibit will run through December 4.
