A couple of weeks ago we brought you the announcement of not only a new venue in town, but also their pretty killer line-up.  Thanks to those awesome folks at The Fillmore Silver Spring, we’ll be giving away tickets every day this week (and maybe even next!) to a smattering of shows!  (Don’t forget we’re also hosting Underground Rebel Bingo on Monday, Sept. 19th too!)

So, to cut to the chase-CHROMEO plays the most fun show ever. Plus they’re super nice guys. Don’t believe us? Just watch below.

Now that we all got it out of the way, we have a pair of tickets to give away to their October 29th Fillmore Show! Sweet.

TO WIN:  Tell us, in the vain of the video above, who you’d choose to be your ULTIMATE DANCE PARTNER.  Winner will be selected sometime next week so use a real email address when you comment!

Hi there! Oh, do I miss Bezerkeley and San Francisco! I lived out there while my husband was cnlmpetiog his PhD in Chem Engineering at Cal Berkeley. Even though he was a complete science guy, he took advantage of the college scene by joining an a capella group!I loved the bookstores, restaurants, (Zona Rosa, the place to get those big salads, the Long Life Veggie House and Plearn Thai on University), all the great places to eat on Solano, the running path under the BART tracks . I can go on and on. I worked in San Francisco and then in San Rafael for Autodesk. The Bay Area is truly magical, but ridiculously expensive. So, after he graduated, we moved home back east. Congrats on being Freshly pressed!

My ultimate dance partner would be Mark Kanemura, from Season 4 of SYTYCD, because he’s got the right amount of edge and gracefulness to pull off just about any dance style, and I’m always looking for a dance partner with a unique style who’s willing to push the envelope.

    J. Lo circa the “been around the world” music video. She was too fine and that was a classy music vid. plus the bowie sample!

  • Liz m. says:

This is far too easy since I just blogged last week about how I would promise Death my life right after I got to dance with my-age-Michael-Jackson. I’ve seen all his moves while The Jackson 5 was at its height. We’re definitely on the same wavelength. And that wavelength would make the dance floor collapse in on itself.

So yea, 22 year old MJ FTW.

  • Thom says:

Thom Yorke, Obviously. Everyone on the floor would just be straight up confused/amazed by what was occuring. The video of Thom dancing with the “Single Ladies” music on in the background is a prime example of his awesomeness. Exhibit A: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nf7RI4Ka_CQ (as if you haven’t seen this video!)

Thanks for representing the trees. Trees are great tercehas of patience and acceptance.I am so greatfull for trees because of the way they demonstrate generosity and unconditional loving by constantly transmitting sunlight energy into clean air for all animals to breathe , and purify the water for us to drink.

one of my biggest reretgs is not having left the area i grew up in for college. i was afraid i’d lose the guy i was dating at the time. too bad he wasn’t worth keeping anyway, & i missed out on an opportunity to explore & learn in a new location. at least i can encourage others to not make this same mistake!go. learn. grow.
