Remember last week when we commented on how wild it was that the weather hadn’t turned this very city into frozen Hell tundra? Now it is cold and sad, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t ways you can still enjoy the great outdoors. Remember, patio heaters and blankets were created for a reason. And that reason is so that you can drink outside when it’s cold.

It’s raining and it’s cold. El Rey has a heated and enclosed patio, meaning that you can enjoy the outdoors tonight without having to sit in the rain shivering like a wet dog. $21 margarita pitchers, $6 individual margaritas, $3 Natty Bohs, and $3 tamales are just some of the deals they’ve got going on tonight. Head over to U Street and join in on the fun.
Bike maintenance is important always, but even more so during the colder months. Taking care of your bike ensures fun and safe riding for you. Nothing says “weekend” like sipping on fancy champagne with friends. Head to the W Hotel for a night of Veuve Clicquot bubbly, including their rosé and Yellow label, on the outdoor patio of Pinea restaurant. There will be music, games, and plents of bottles to enjoy this Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Your fall happy hour game just got a whole lot cooler.

Sundays are for fun runs and brewery tours. Meet at Pacers on 14th street and lace up your sneakers for a 4.5 mile run to D.C.’s very own Hellbender Brewing Company for a tour of how the magic (beer) gets made, plus beer deals all day for participants. There will be plenty of board games and fun to be had once you get there. Hellbender is happy to transport any belongings from Pacers to the brewery. The run starts promptly at 11:00 a.m.
Go forth into nature!
