Kickboxing is not only an amazing full body workout, but it’s also pretty fun too. Put on some exercise clothing and head to National Harbor for a free kickboxing class outside from 7 to 8 p.m. The sunset behind the Capital Wheel doesn’t make for a bad evening view either.
Spice up your lunch break with a free Zumba class outdoors. This class meets at the pavilion of 2121 Crystal Drive at 1 p.m. Power through the Hump Day slump and beat the after-lunch fatigue with some energizing zumba.
All you need is a yoga mat and some water for this relaxing sunset class with Moishe House of Arlington. Swing by Barton Park at 6:45 p.m. for some free yoga. Don’t worry if you aren’t a master yogi yet, this class is open to students of any level.
What better way to get in some walking than to march for a cause. The 17-mile march protesting gun violence against women and people of color will commence at the NRA building in Fairfax at 10:00am on Friday and end at the Department of Justice the following afternoon.
Get ready for a night of leisurely bike riding and grilling. Grab your bike and get ready for a 25-30 mile gravel ride. The group will stop at Marsden Tract for a campfire where s’mores will be provided, but bring any extra food you may want to grill. The ride begins at The Bike Rack’s shop in Brookland, but there are there will be two other pick up points where you can join the ride.
Have you ever wanted to learn Bachata? Well, now is your chance. For $10, you can learn a new dance and enjoy the sunset over the Georgetown Waterfront Park. The class will cover basic Bachata moves as well as a Bachata Sensual combination. Get your dance on.
Go forth into nature!
