As we wait for a pending Federal court ruling on a lawsuit brought by EMI against Vimeo.com that may kill user-generated fan videos, we’re bringing you The Week in Gaga. Its our attempt to highlight the best user-generated Lady Gaga videos on the web while we still have the chance.
NPR Personalities Spoof Lady Gaga (Smeraji)
We have to admit that Ari Shapiro is one of our favorite people. So, when we heard about NPR’s spoof of Telephone we instantly clicked the teaser link to see that we were only the third viewer of the new YouTube sensation with well-over 100,000 hits. Thankfully more pleasant than a public radio pledge drive, the NPR spoof features the sultry voices of Nina Totenberg and Robert Siegel (along with lip syncing by White House correspondent Shapiro).
We’re still holding out for a duet of Pokerface by Diane Rehm and Ira Glass. That would only take us closer to our fantasy of listening to David Sedaris reading a medley of Lady Gaga singles.
‘”Rah-rah-rah-ah-ah. Roma, ro ma-ma.’ The inconsistent blather from my high school girlfriend could barely be heard over the club’s loud music. I’m sorry. You want my what? My DISEASE?’ Listening to myself, I wished that I could shut my playboy mouth, but my words were a poison I could not control. The last time anyone wanted my disease I was twelve and it was my sister Amy who had conducted a master plan to catch my chickenpox in order to get out of performing as a weeping willow tree in the school play. It didn’t work for her then, and it wasn’t going to work now.”
Lady Gaga Symphotic Melody (AnotherAZNPianoKid)
This video may explain why Yale has no decent football team. Your parents pay $48,000 per year in tuition and you waste your time making Lady Gaga videos during music class? You know who thinks that is funny? Harvard.
And TWO Asian kids playing the violin? Really, Yale…really?
