We originally ran this interview in June of 2009. We are running it again because 1. It is awesome and 2. The Bentzen Ball is coming back this October. You can grab tickets to the opening night with Dr. Katz or the closing ceremonies with Tig Notaro HERE. Have fun. – ed.

Zach Galifianakis was simply too talented and amazing to be be relegated to obscure short films and indie rock club appearances.  He’s slowly been inching up into mainstream consciousness through memorable appearances with Tim and Eric, the greatest Kayne West video of all time, and now a lead role in what is shaping up to be a huge box office comedy success extravaganza: The Hangover.

Not too long ago BYT’s very own Tig Notaro (Sara Silverman/In The Motherhood) sat down (uncomfortably close) with Zach to um… do this:

The Hangover (which looks HI-LA-RI-O-US-ed) is out tonight, but you can see Tig live and in the flesh (highly recommended btw) at the Arlington Cinema Draft House June 19th & 20th. All the details here:
