Welcome to your daily Hit List featuring the shows, openings, and ritual gatherings that will set your social dial to MAX FUN.
And if you don’t dig our picks, there are tons of other events to check out on our Agenda (side note: promoters/venues: posting events on the Agenda is free and open to all-so please use it, WE PROMISE this is much more effective than posting random comments on posts).
Here’s what you can do tonight:
- Paolo Nutini is at the Lincoln Theatre and there will be a lot of seated head-bopping.
- The Drums are at 9:30 and there will be a lot of standing head-bopping and probably a lot of flannel. BEVERLY is opening. Read our interview with BEVERLY here.
- Love Inks, who are a delight are playing Republic tonight.
- The best Happy Hour is an Oyster Happy Hour and Legal Seafoods is starting their month-long Oyster Festival today.
- Story League is holding a storytelling contest with the theme “Testy, Testy” at Busboys and Poets tonight.
- After The Drums’ crowd clears out, Metronomy will take over the late shift at 9:30. You probably don’t realize that you know them. (BONUS: we have giveaways for BOTH SHOWS here)
- If you’re all indie, no rock, rapper Astronautalis will be at DC9.
