Welcome to your daily Hit List featuring the shows, events, gatherings, and so on that will keep your social life slightly above average!

  • Today’s protest is a rally to stop Betsy DeVos at the upper Senate park.
  • Washington Project for the Arts is doing some very cool performance / soundscape kind of art thing tonight. Baltimore artist Sara Dittrich accompanied by Alex Tebeleff of Paperhaus and a bunch of other cool artists you might not know but may like.

  • If you’re an American history buff, head over to Politics & Prose to hear author Stephen Kinzer talk about his book The True Flag.
  • If you have some money to throw around and you need some serious hair of the dog in your life, Somms Uncorked! is at Zaytinya. Anytime you can go to Zaytinya, you should go to Zaytinya.

  • Pizzeria Paradiso is celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s ascension to the thrown in 1952 with a tap takeover. I don’t know what these things have to do with each other, but I’m down with any excuse to drink beer.
  • And if all else fails, go play some music trivia at Songbyrd.

If none of these options float your boat, check out our AGENDA for more ideas (side note: promoters/venues: posting events in the AGENDA is free and open to all-so please use it.)
