Do you like drinking heavily and becoming so competitive that you make your friends uncomfortable? Do you have a lot of specific and arcane knowledge floating around your head? Does the idea of winning light beer branded swag excite you? Then you have no choice but to get yourself over to the closest bar for some trivia (or a pub quiz if you’re in an Irish joint). Any of the below should suit you just fine, but remember, we live in a city full of nerds. The competition is sure to be fierce, but the prizes just might make everything worth it.

RFD – 7:30pm, Check out this excellent trivia night hosted by District Trivia and drink all the craft beer your heart desires.
Tonic – 8:30pm to 10:30pm, Grab a group of 2-8 friends (depending on how popular your are) for some general trivia. First place wins a $50 tonic gift card. Trivia specials include $3 Miller High Life’s, $4 tatEr tots, $6 beer cheese nachos, and $.75 wings. Plus, if you like their Facebook page, you’ll get a hint about that night’s trivia.
Flanagan’s Harp and Fiddle – 8:00pm to 10:00pm, Flanagan’s is perfect if you like your trivia with a little strategy. They play stump trivia which forces teams to wager points and compete in bonus rounds.
Bier Baron – 7:30pm, Show off your skills at CSN Trivia and fight for the chance to win $5000. Damn that’s a lot of money.

Buffalo Billiards – 7:30pm, District Trivia has two different nights at Buffalo Billiards. Depending on your interests, check out CSN Trivia Challenge or the Trivium Cum Laude. Whichever floats your boat.
Fado Irish Pub – 8:00pm, Trivia is free to play and you might just win an awesome prize. Hopefully the awesome prize is more booze.

Lou’s City Bar – 7:30pm, Head on over for an awesome night hosted by District Trivia.
The Wonderland Ballroom – 7:30 to 11:00pm, Monday Night Trivia Fight is no laughing matter. If you want a serious competition then head over here. First place wins $100 off your team’s bar tab, second place wins gets $15 off their bar tab, and third gets $10 off. Using you mind to win free booze is the best kind of award.

Looking Glass Lounge – 8:00pm Winners receive $60 off their bar tab so feel free to fill up on the beer.

Penn Social – 7:00pm, District Trivia is a DC wide league. Enjoy $4 Blue Paddle Pils during trivia and first place gets $25 gift cards.

The Queen Vic – 7:00pm, Every week the entire second floor is cleared out and taken over by Queen Vic’s intense pub quiz. Hosted by British Ink’s Paul Roe, the quiz lasts three months and the cumulative scores are posted on Facebook. Weekly prizes are Queen Vic gift cards, but as soon as a team reaches 50 points they can start winning special loyalty prizes. In the past prizes have ranged from two round trip tickets to London, a BeerTender with three kegs, and a Newcastle swag bag. Enjoy $4.55 Newcastle Brown and Newcastle Seasonal during the quiz. Right now the Queen Vic is still planning for this years quiz, but once they get set up, I’m sure it will be intense.
The Tombs – During trivia enjoy $8 pitchers of Coors Light from 10pm until the bar closes.
Murphy’s of DC – 8:00pm, Trivia is free to play and prizes range from hockey tickets to t-shirts. Lets hope you win the hockey tickets.
Ventnor Sports Cafe – 8:30pm, Hosted by SayKnowToTrivia, show up early because seats fill up fast.
Stetson’s – 7:00pm, Trivia is hosted by Mehrun a FIVE TIME Jeopardy winner. Try out the Rolling Rock pitcher specials for $9.50 during trivia (but only if you hate yourself because Rolly Rock is gross). First place receives $50.00 off their bar tab and second place receives $25.00 off their bar tab. Their trivia blog even provides some hints about that night’s theme.
Murphy’s of Alexandria – 8:15pm, Trivia is free to play, but fills up quickly. Check out the half priced burger from 4pm to 9pm.
Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern – 7:00pm to 10:00pm, Come join Jimmy’s eclectic hosts for “three sheets of fun” trivia, hosted by Liz Rosen, Tegee Rogers, and Jimmy of Jimmy’s. Stay afterward for JOTTeopardy at 9:00pm and DJ EQ at 2:00am.
Union Pub – 8:00pm to 10:00pm, Get your pop culture fix at this trivia night.

Acre 121 – 7:30pm, Between trivia rounds turn the wheel to win fun drink specials so even if you know nothing you can win some free drinks. Not only do the top three teams receive special prizes, but Acre 121’s trivia was voted the best bar game in DC by Washington City Paper.

Argonaut – 8:00pm, Adorably named “Booze Clues”, the trivia categories and questions at Argonaut are all created by their team of silly trivia hosts. Prizes include a bottle of wine for having the best team name, choosing next week’s category for the losers, a $25 gift card for second place, and a $50 gift card for first place. Plus get a sneak peak of this weeks trivia by checking their Facebook page.
St. Arnolds – 7:30pm, Show off your trivia skills with the folks at District Trivia while eating some delicious mussels, A match made in heaven.
Stoney’s – 8:00pm, Show up early for happy hour from 5-7pm. There are 5 rounds as well as a half time competition for some free drinks. First place wins a $50 gift card, second place wins a $25 gift card, and third place wins a bottle of wine. The fourth pace team gets to pick the theme for the next week.
Nellie’s – 8:00pm and 9:00pm, Nellie’s Smart Ass Trivia includes two rounds with different themes. Not only can you win money off of your bar tab, but you can also win tickets to local events.
