Sometimes (read: all the times) I receive new music in my inbox, usually in the form of Soundcloud tracks or digital downloads. Rarely, however, does it come in the form of a commercial for Masterchef Junior, which is exactly what happened with Parade Of Lights’ “We’re the Kids.” It’s totally a great song, very catchy and very fitting for soundtrack purposes, but more importantly, HOLY EFF, there is going to be MASTERCHEF JUNIOR IN THE USA, SLASH HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS BEFORE?! I was an avid watcher of the Australian version, which, if you’ve never watched it before, involves children between the ages of 8 and 12 competing for the title of best mini chef in the history of child labor laws. It is literally the greatest show of all time, and if you didn’t want kids, prepare to have your world turned upside down; they flambé, they sauté, and if they’re yours, you don’t even have to pay them! So thank you Jesus aka Parade of Lights for giving us the unintentional 411, as evidenced below:
