Water and Wall is Tim Ma’s flagship restaurant, known for the bight, delicious flavors that come out of the kitchen and into the bright, beautiful dining room. While the restaurant is much talked about amongst D.C. foodies for its dinner fare, the brunch menu is not as well known.

So of course, we went over to sample the brunch so that we could let you, our readers, know about yet another brunch option in the area.
What is great about the brunch at Water and Wall is that rather than do bottomless, the restaurant offers a bottle of cava with two carafes of juice for $25, a far better choice than the overly juiced mimosas served in most brunch spots these days. (I mean, the mimosas are supposed to cure my hangover, not cause one). Bloody Marys are also a good option.

So, step one is to order the cava and start your meal off with some bubbles while you peruse the menu. The menu is small, but tempting. Start off with a bowl of crunchy fried chickpeas served with a decadent saffron yogurt. Perfect for sharing and eating with your fingers. For something savory try the wild mushroom omelet, which is oozing with mozzarella cheese and served with a fresh green salad. French toast is good for a sweet entrée, and crunchy shoestring fries are a must as a side dish to anything.

Gelato is available for dessert, and of course, another bottle of cava is essential.
