The Tapas Tuesdays menu at Cuba Libre is designed for the hungry. Hungry, adventurous residents and tourists that want a taste of something exotic yet familiar will have no problem navigating the expansive menu.
Trying as many bites as you can comfortably consume is an excellent way to spend an otherwise boring Tuesday night. Some of our favorite samples included the Guacamole Cubano (the slightly sweet taste of pineapple helps distinguish it from typical guac), Camagüey Meatballs (they have a nice spicy kick), Papas Rellenas (pleasing for any croquettes aficionado), Crab Ceviche (especially enjoyable on a hot summer night), Cuban Sandwich Spring Rolls and Rice Pudding Brûlée. These dishes cost half as much during the Tapas Tuesdays. Eat enough and they’re even less. The special is unlimited tapas for $26.95.
The highlight of the menu, and a good reason to visit Cuba Libre even when it’s not Tuesday, is the Levanta Muerto Seafood Soup. The “Raise the Dead” soup features shrimp, Baja Bay scallops, crab, mussels, fortified Coconut milk and Truffle oil. Fans of spicy Thai curries will love it.
