It’s winter and the only way to get through it is to drink some booze. Well, drink a lot of booze. Tons of booze. OK, maybe not tons (we’re not in Boston after all) but a good cocktail is sure to ease your seasonal affective disorder. To help you out, BYT staffers often hit up different spots around town to sample drinks so we can provide you with excellent cocktail recommendations. (Yes, our lives are terribly hard.) Recently, we went over to Nopa Kitchen + Bar to taste test some of mixologist Jimmy Ponce’s fabulous libations. Our conclusion? Salivate over the pictures because these drinks tasted even better than they look!

Highlights include the Chicha de Manzana, a wildly refreshing apple-flavored beverage with pisco, lime, and red currant syrup. Using seasonal apples, it is a winter drink that still makes you reminisce about summer. The House Mulled Wine is made fresh daily and kept warm in a slow cooker, so you can be guaranteed a sweet, warm, heady beverage that will warm you to your toes.

The Ginger Salty Smoke has a smoky mescal backdrop, and the Nopa Hot Chocolate is a blends liquor with chocolate and tops it all with whipped cream. It doesn’t get much better than this!
