If there is one thing the insane popularity of our annual OUTDOOR DRINKING GUIDE has taught us, it is that BYT readers take their fresh air hanging out very seriously. So, as the season continues, we’ll make a point of informing you of awesome new outdoor spots as they pop up (And yes, we’ll be updating the guide itself). The latest precious piece of open sky real estate in town belongs to TABLE, the 9th and N chef’s table style restaurant by Frederik De Pue. The fact that the BYT offices are but around the corner (and you can see OUR deck from their deck) makes us all the more excited for it.

A 35 seat, two level patio may be familiar to a certain portion of BYT readership as the deck once occupied by SPACE, the bar whole place TABLE now occupies. Stil, don’t expect anything similar to that late night scene; the TABLE patio is airy and spacious, with white wood and exposed brick walls and light furniture, and you enjoy the full menu from the restaurant or just a couple of glasses of wine and a cheese and charcuterie board (there are no reservations you can make specifically for the space, but guests with reservations get the first pick of whether they’d like to sit there).
The upper deck of the space is now covered with Delirium large umbrellas, but the long term plan is to have some sun sails there in time for when the real DC summer kicks in. We can’t wait.
