Meeps, a staple location for all your vintage style needs, has undergone a major renovation and reopened yesterday to showcase it’s magnificent metamorphosis. In the hands of new owners and expert vintage curators Cathy Chung and Katerina Herodotou from Treasury Vintage, Meeps has re-emerged with a newly infused, curated aesthetic that includes casual vintage, contemporary designers, a buy-sell-trade system, and a Cosmic Costume Room coming in the Fall. Meeps’ new era also includes a renewed emphasis on the local, with area artisanal wares, fun social happenings and DC artists and musicians taking center stage. I can personally attest to how contemporary and beautiful both the store and it’s vintage selections are (hell, I even walked out of there with an amazing 80’s inspired boyfriend blazer.). So definitely head on over and sift through the racks of men’s & women’s wares.
