We’re pleased to premiere the new single from D.C.’s Soft Punch. The project by Ryan Little releases a hand-pressed, lathe-cut 7″ on clear vinyl this Friday. If it sounds a little different than previous Little projects, that’s because it is. A true bedroom recording, it was made piecemeal in a process the artist describes as “painful.” It doesn’t sound painful. It’s a pleasant 3 minute folk song with a positive feel.
The b-side to the single is a more intimate, much more private sounding work Little recorded at a low point in suffering with ME/CFS. “Brother, Sister” is the more hopeful of the two. Both sides present an artist making art to get through. Purchase the record for preorder.
