It’s finally happening. There’s snow outside.

Places That Have Specials

Ocean Prime – Swing by for happy hour all day!

Kyirisan – Happy hour has been extended from the bar to the “cook nook” (I’m not sure what this means, but I’m sure it’s fun). Make sure to stop by for dinner because each table will get a complimentary order of wings, fried okra or pork belly bao buns.

Rare Tavern – Celebrate your snow day the right way with a tall Bloody Mary, a pony of Miller High Life and a heaping plate of Wisconsin fried cheese curds, all for the low low price of $12.

The Ritz-Carlton – If you find yourself in Georgetown, head to the Ritz for homemade hot chocolate from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and an extended happy hour from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. There will also be complimentary valet parking, just in case your need it.

Dirty Habit – Their brand new guinea hen dumplings, filled with duck tasso, duck broth, baby bok choy, shitake mushrooms and fresh scallions, are $9 today and tomorrow in honor of that sweet snow. I don’t know what the correlation is, but I’m not upset about it.

Stable – D.C.’s only Swiss restaurant knows exactly how you should spend your snow day. They’ll be opening at 2 p.m. and will be serving up at Hot Aprés Ski Cocktail Menu (including mulled wine, schnapps, etc) and a limited food menu featuring their Raclette Experience.

Cork – Make your way over to 14th Streets wine bar / market for an all day happy hour and $1 cookies. We recommend grabbing a bottle to take home with you.
