This is not a fun guide. But you’re still living so we’re going to try to help you make the best of a bad situation. The federal government is shut down. Places you planned to visit are closed. Checks you planned to cash are not coming in. What seemed like a vacation for a day or two has turned into an uncomfortable new reality. Hopefully this guide will help. If you’re looking for more resources like food banks, rent, mortgage, utility assistance, etc., we recommend the Washington City Paper guide.
TO DO
Gov't Players! Come ease the pain of the #shutdown on 1.25.19 at NOON and join us for #FurloughFriday.
From 12PM – 4PM, we'll have FREE 🍕@TimberPizzaCo + 🍻@StellaArtois + 👾free games for first 250 Fed employees who show their IDs.
We got you! ❤️#PlayersLoveGovtWorkers 💪🏼 pic.twitter.com/bVQI4JxUlo— Players Club (@playersclubdc) January 22, 2019
