The Thai Royal Embassy hosted Thai Village this past Saturday, a cultural festival complete with a Thai band, loads of Thai food (the best part), complimentary massages, artists, cooking demonstrations, and even a giant Hello Kitty balloon.
The event took place from 11-6pm at the historic Grace Church in Georgetown, right across from the Embassy.
Food vendors included DC Noodles, Thai Tanic, Asia Nine, and even a stand from the Embassy Chef, all serving authentic Thai dishes. Steamed buns, squid skewers, and pad thai were some of the highlights, as was the colorful dessert stand.
A portion of the proceeds went to assist trafficking victims in Thailand, so all of the merriment was for a good cause.
