This past weekend Transformer celebrated it’s 10th annual fundraiser auction at the Corcoran. Keeping in line with their fiercely individual identity year round, Victoria Reis and her team managed once again to do the almost impossible: throw a high ticket gala that also feels true to their punk rock and grassroots roots. As always, some of DC’s favorite artists donated their works for the cause (among them Thom Flynn, Kelly Towles, ioan rozeal brown, Marissa Long and more) and the well dressed, colorful (in every way) crowd danced their night away to DJs Yellow Fever and Natty Boom.

If there is one art event to see and be seen and yet dance like no one was watching, this is it.
