Hey, Ponies! This week marked the 25th anniversary since the passing of Pedro Zamora, the Cuban-American HIV and AIDS activist who made his mark in the mid-90s on MTV’s Real World: San Francisco. Zamora and his then-partner Sean Sasser made history with the first-ever public LGBTQ+ commitment ceremony published on national television. Just a few short hours after their footage aired during the season’s finale, Zamora died with Sasser and his family by his side. In Pedro’s honor, this week we are kicking it back to some of our favorite Real World and MTV reality moments.
