We’re very pleased to premiere the third single from The Luxembourg Signal’s upcoming album Blue Field. Any band that has a song titled “Laura Palmer” has our attention. “Antarctica” keeps our attention.

Whole lotta geography in this premiere. The Luxembourg Signal is not from Luxembourg. They’re billed from Los Angeles, London and San Diego. The song is “Antarctica” from the album Blue Field. None of that has much to do with the sound.

“Antarctica” is a lovely four minute slice of shoegaze. It’s not nearly as heavy or dissonant as My Bloody Valentine or Ride but the shoegaze tag is still appropriate. It has more in common with the vocals of Nina Persson and the music of Beach House than guys that stare at their shoes.

The Luxembourg Signal’s Blue Field will be released October 13 on Shelflife Records.
