Fall is almost upon us–a time to grab those tights and scarves and snuggle up in coats while the leaves crunch under your new leather boots. And with the return of fall is D.C.’s biggest shopping event of the year, Fashion’s Night Out Georgetown (September 6th, this thursday–mark those calendars).
To get us all in the know, we asked some of our favorite stylish people around town for their shopping songs and favorite fall looks. After last week’s inspiration board from Kate Warren (one of Panda Head Magazine‘s many talented collaborators), we just had to ask the fabulous online mag’s founder–general fashion/lifestyle maven-about-town Morgan H. West–all her favorite looks and the best tunes to get you ready for FNO (tomorrow night). Viva la season of the witch…

- Fleetwood Mac – “Little Lies”
This is great for swanning around in a robe, hair DONE (with wine).
- Cat Stevens – “Wild World”
For gently deciding on dresses.
- The Talking Heads – “Psycho Killer”
For stomping around in each and every shoe option.
- Paul Simon – “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover”
Lipstick application looks GREAT to this song.
- Municipal Waste – “Unleash the Bastards”
My husband likes to make jokes. It’s either this or ANYTHING off Master of Puppets, which SO doesn’t fit my VIBE, and will elicit hollering.
- Tom Petty – “Refugee”
For pairing JUST the right pair of heeled boots with JUST the right pair of million-year-old black jeans/t-shirt combo.
- Paul McCartney – “Eat At Home”
- Britney Spears – “(You Drive Me) Crazy” (Album Version)
Let’s Get Real.
- ELO – “Don’t Bring Me Down”
Last-minute accessorizing MADNESS.
- Rod Stewart – “Hot Legs”
For kissy-faces in the mirror.
