As Fritz Hahn already noted on the Washington Post’s goingoutguide.com there’s a new Pizzeria Paradiso in Alexandria on King street. (Disclaimer: the beer master for the Pizzeria Paradiso restaurants, Greg Jasgur, is a college buddy and a dear friend of mine, so I’m a little biased in telling you that Paradiso is indeed the best place in the DC area to find all your favorite American micro-brews.)
It’s not just about the pizza, it’s also about the beer (borrowing from Fritz’s article here): 14 draft brews and one cask ale, as well as countless more bottled beers to boot. The bar is not fully stocked yet as the restaurant is still in its opening flourishes, but expect that by next week it will be humming along. If you’ve ever visited either of the other two restaurants then you’ll know what to expect, but just in case you haven’t sampled any of their pizzas, I’m including some photos of just the pizzas (taken previously, not in Alexandria) to go along with some images of the new interior and some portraits of some of the “friends and family” who were in attendance during the soft-opening on Monday night in Old Town. Eat your pizza!
