The Kennedy Center is celebrating the Lunar New Year with a striking exhibition of 100 winter lanterns. From January 22-February 2, swing by the grounds of The REACH to be transported into a fantastical light up world filled with technicolor pandas, illuminated jellyfish, sparkling zodiac signs and so much more.
Swing by from January 23-26 to enjoy live magic, woodblock printing, calligraphy lessons and Beijing Opera makeup demonstrations, then head back on January 30-February 2 for Korean drum performances, fan coloring and kite-flying.
Between Zoo Lights, Georgetown GLOW, Light Yards and the REACH’s new Winter Lanterns, winter in D.C. couldn’t be prettier.
