Last Thursday’s Phillips After 5 event highlighted fashion designer Jason Wu’s recent designs as well as the Phillips Collection’s current exhibit Variations and Improvisations by Robert Ryman. Wu has cited Ryman’s paintings as the inspiration behind his fall 2010 TSE cashmere collection. While Mr. Wu himself did not grace attendees with his presence, models were sent in his place, acting as living works of art while wearing Wu and TSE pieces. Attendees participated in a fashion and art scavenger hunt throughout the museum, indulged in gelato provided by Dolcezza and listened to live music downstairs in the music room.
