Phillips After 5 is settling nicely into its less rigorous fall/winter schedule. This month, continuing their tradition of partnering up with various media operations to co-host the event, The New Republic (alongside their art critics and special branded dim-sum chopsticks) was on board.

DJ Nevile Chamberlain played the music, FoodArts provided delicious seasonal cocktails, Ping Pong Dim Sum was on board for the snacks and I CANNOT EMPHASIZE ENOUGH HOW IMPORTANT IT IS THAT EVERYONE READING THIS GOES AND CHECKS OUT THE “TRUTHBEAUTY” EXHIBIT (no photos allowed, but read Blake Gopnik’s WaPo review here) which explores the pictorialism movement in world photography and is, seriously, one of the most inspiring, visually stunning shows you’ll see in DC this year.
