The D.C. music scene is in debt to Paperhaus, specifically Alex Tebeleff. The frontman of the band Paperhaus and a resident of the house/venue Paperhaus, Tebeleff has brought over a hundred excellent bands from around the country to his living room over the past four plus years. Earlier this week, at a show that was already going to be the last for a while, Paperhaus the venue hosted a show that may be the curtain call. The cops were called. Finally, the cops were called.

UVF Rays, Shepherds, and Passing Phases were able to play their sets and according to Tebeleff, the cops were cool about the whole thing. The house venue will continue to host non-music events and there are plans to use the space in more of a practice setting, but this does signify the end of a very great era.
