Aside from being one of the best, most zany, fun-packed and over-the-top culture events on the east coast, New York Comic-C0n represents one of the best photo opportunities of the year, a time when our favorite fictional icons come out to play in droves without abandon. Oh, and did we mention the celebrities?

This year’s NYCC welcomed Max Brooks (author of “World War Z”), Kate Beaton (creator of Hark! A Vagrant), Stan Lee (all-around legend and nice guy), and so many more industry writers, illustrators, colorists and then some. We walk through aisles of merch and some of the strangest figurines we’ve ever seen, all alongside Wolverine, Batman, homeless Darth Vader, and people holding intimidating weapons (both real and fake). Scroll through and check out some of our peoplewatching from this year’s Con and if you’re feeling especially nostalgic, take a trip down the NYCC rabbit hole with last year’s coverage and our “How the F*ck Did You Build That?” video. ‘Til next year, stay nerdy.
