This year’s Kingman Island Bluegrass and Folk Festival was the biggest iteration of the annual festival, both in terms of size and attendance. More than 12,000 people attended the Living Classrooms benefit. People of all ages and dogs of all sizes filled the expansive park, enjoying bluegrass, folk, not bluegrass or folk (Miss Shevaughn & Yuma Wray was a favorite), s’mores, kayaking and cigars. We hope the 2017 includes everything 2016 had sans cigars. No more cigars. Stop smoking cigars. Music festivals are not golf courses.
