This past weekend saw the opening of Juan Tejedor’s multimedia work which can maybe best be described as “explosion of information” which takes concrete facts and known data (metro routes, crime rates, migration and star charts, to name a few) to inspire footloose and fancy free improvisations of the abstract form. Trying to “recognize” things in lattices and intricate nests he builds is just part of the fun.
Juan’s exhibition runs through March 26 at Flashpoint, 916 G St. NW. www.flashpointdc.org. 202-315-1305. Free.
