Every year for 3 days Georgetown is transformed into the très magnifieque streets of Paris, ooh la la! And while the weather was not ideal for outdoor things, the Georgetown French Market is just too good to miss.
The beauty of Paris, other than cheese and wine and art and history and Paris, are all of its adorable outdoor shops, each one more charming than the last. The Georgetown French Market seeks to imitate that and always succeeds. There is something about moving things outside that somehow make them more appealing. Vendors sold (discounted!) wares, french fares were available for all the eating (and we did!) and of course dogs were out in full force (sadly no French Bulldogs). And what’s Paris without a little music and a mime trapped in an invisible box, aren’t we all?
