The annual Exposed DC exhibit is currently on display at the LongView Gallery. What makes this year’s showcase a little more interested is the mystery couple featured in Armando Gallardo’s photograph.
Gallardo took the photo at the 2013 Sweetlife Festival and is hoping the exhibit and social media can help identify the couple. From the site he’s created, FindingJandJ.com:
I got there around 2pm, picked up my press pass and off I went to start shooting the event. As soon as I started to make my way into the crowd, at the lawn area, the sun got covered by massive gray clouds and the rain started falling on the spectators.
Now, picture this. Torrential rain starts falling down, crowd starts freaking out, a sea of raincoats and umbrellas start to form and as I start running for cover, I see a couple who could care less about the fact that the Sweetlife Festival is about to become a big mud fest.
The epitome of teenage lust happening right in front of my eyes.
I took my camera, and shot only 1 frame, IMG_4643. And that’s how the mystery of John and Jane Doe began. (Well, not before feeling like an absolute creep for taking that photo).
I then ran for cover thinking “Hmmm, I think I got something good there”.
The Exposed exhibit will be on display through April 6. The couple will remain unidentified through ?.
