The National Air and Space Museum transformed one of D.C.’s most famous monuments, a shining beacon of our skyline into a full fledge Saturn V rocket in honor of Apollo 11’s 50th anniversary.

Featuring incredible projections of archival material and recreations, this weekend’s Apollo 50 celebrations were above and beyond. We’ve never seen anything like this before, but we hope this isn’t the last time an institution we love gets creative.
