This past Friday saw the opening reception for the opening event for Amy Morton’s (of MFA-Morton Fine Art) a pop-up project, a series of innovative, curated art exhibitions and events that “pop-up” at various locations throughout Washington, DC. The plan is to emphasize the development and exposure of high-quality contemporary artworks in innovative settings and locations. a pop-up project aims to develop and promote local DC talent alongside national talent.
Friday night was a great start to it when “I Dream Awake” opened at the Former Numark Gallery (625-27 E St NW), which explored original artistic expressions of awakened realities and unconscious dreams of both local (Rosemary Feit Covey, Laurel Hausler, Lizzie Newton and Tim Tate), LA (Vonn Sumner and Susan Burnstine) and NYC based (Mikel Glass, Kenichi Hoshine and Margaret Bowland) artists.
Photos below, show will remain open through May 28th.
