Transformer‘s annual silent auction and gala has long been one of our very favorite events of the year, and a constant reminder that D.C. art community is as vibrant, weird and relentless as ever. This season, for the 15th anniversary, BYT was proud to be the official media sponsor for what turned out to be the biggest celebration they’ve thrown yet. The gala also moved back to The Corcoran (the site of its 10th anniversary, as well), with the auction showcasing 175+ emerging and established artists, a first-ever Transformer merch installation, and a record breaking amount of funds raised so thank you to all the partners, sponsors, attendees and, of course, ARTISTS involved.
It was wonderful to be in a room where ANYTHING (and everything) could happen. If you didn’t have a chance to make it/bid on art, you can still donate and support Transformer here. Without further delay, we’ll let you peruse the gorgeously ALIVE photos ( fair warning for those viewing this on work computers: things go from fun to FUN as you scroll down and reach the afterparty at The LINE hotel):

and then, for the afterparty (which happened at The Line Hotel DC, and as a fair warning, may be slightly NSFW, depending on where you work):
