It’s only been a few months since Kickballers opened up in Georgetown, and now Greg Grammen, owner of Fairfax, Va. skate shop Elite has his sights set on the U St. corridor.

Taking its name from the long-defunct American Basketball League team (learn more via wikipedia), Palace5ive is part-skate shop and part-streetwear boutique.

The store is divided into two halves, which makes it easy for those looking to get their board fixed and those fixated on the almighty sneaker.

D.C. hypebeasts will be thrilled to know that the store has a Nike SB account, and currently offers a decent selection of SB Dunks, Blazers, P-Rods, and Classics.

Shop decks are also in the works courtesy of Plan B Skateboards, complete with matching wheels and tees, so you can kick, push, and represent.

Palace5ive also carries brands not found at Elite, like Durkl, Vans Vault, Creative Recreation, and the appropriately-named Fucking Awesome.

Although the website is still under construction, eager customers can already sign up for Greg’s e-mail blasts, or just visit the store at 2216 & 2220 14th St. NW.
