Hi! I am in Ireland! I keep almost getting hit by cars because the reverse traffic pattern makes me feel like I am trying to read a book through a mirror! Also I keep saying things like “HIYA!” to try and fit in! (It is not working!)

Anyway, YOU are in America (presumably), so I will still fulfill my obligation to tell you what’s going on this weekend that’s good! (And there’s a lot of stuff! Dolly Parton tributes! The Oscars! A Broad City screening! Which is our GIF theme! And more stuff!)

Before we get into the details, let’s first talk about some rad stuff you might’ve missed on BYT this week while you were busy feeling depressed that I am a whole ocean away!

Thursday, February 21

  • For starters, obviously get to 3DB for Seoul Train, an LGBTQ K-Pop party hosted by SOJU from Drag Race! Tickets are $15+.
  • You should also get to the Bell House for a Mean Girls drinking game! Tickets are $15 a pop.
  • Or for something a little less lowbrow, head to Nitehawk for The Bureau of Creative Works: NYC Shorts ft. a Q+A w/ the filmmakers!
  • But maybe you want to combine your love of the occult with your love of fitness, in which case head to Catland for a new round of Yoga for Witches! Tickets are $15.
