Welcome back to another weekend, you guys! And I would venture to say it is MUCH needed considering the trash fire that is our country, and our planet, at this stage of 2017. Personally, I’m amped that The Craft will be screening at Metrograph, ’cause if one thing makes ALL of the things better, it’s some good old fashioned witchcraft-based female empowerment, AMIRITE?! Before we get into details about that and everything else, here’s some stuff you might’ve missed on BYT this week if you were trying not to have a full-blown existential panic attack LOL!

  • Plus The Hold Steady will continue their Brooklyn Bowl run tonight w/ another $45 show!
  • Or for comedy, get to the Bell House for an evening with Nick Thune and special guests Ben Kronberg, Phoebe Robinson and Jacqueline Novak! Tickets are $15 a pop.
  • Plus it’s a new Lasers In The Jungle at UCB East ft. Meg Cupernall, Alison Grillo and more! Tickets are just $7 each.
  • OR just kick back with $4 screenings of The Wizard of Oz over at Syndicated tonight! YOU DO YOU, TOTO!

  • Couldn’t get enough of The Hold Steady this week? Catch another $40-$45 show at Brooklyn Bowl tonight!
  • Let’s ALSO talk about the $15 Shilpa Ray gig that’s happening at the Bell House…
  • …or just head to Trans-Pecos for a $10 Soccer Mommy gig!
  • If you’re more into comedy, and are prepared to do a midnight show, catch The George Lucas Talk Show at UCB East w/ Dana Ashbrook, Lane Moore and MORE! Tickets are just $9.
  • For movie vibes, head to Metrograph for screenings of The Crow and The Craft! (You can also catch Noah Baumbach, who’ll be introducing The Meyerowitz Stories.)
  • (Plus there’s a midnight screening of Cujo over at Videology if that’s more your scene. Tickets are $12.)

  • First, hit up the Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan 1994 Museum for Tonya x Nancy: Remixed – the Opening Reception!
  • Plus Eater’s Holiday Pop-Up at Canal Street Market kicks off today (and goes through 12.7), so check out the opening party by RSVP’ing here!
  • In need of plants to create those crucial winter hygge home vibes? Get to Greenery’s “epic plant sale“, which allegedly will be epic and plant-filled.
  • And when it comes to music, obviously grab $20 tickets to this year’s Rock Lottery at the Knitting Factory!
  • AND Lily & Madeleine will be at Baby’s All Right for $12-$15!
  • Meanwhile, The Ghost of Paul Revere will be at Rough Trade for $15!
