We’re back for a new round of NYC Best Weekday Bets! Each day will feature a top pick in the areas of 1. fitness (active), 2. comedy, 3. culture, 4. film, 5. food + drink, 6. free, 7. music and 8. staying in (because let’s face it, sometimes you just want to not leave your couch). It’s a short ass week (REJOICE!) but we’re about to break down the next two nights, which feature amateur burlesque, urban foraging, a screening of the Freaks & Geeks doc (our GIF theme, duh!) and MORE! Details:

Tuesday September 3

ACTIVE: Hit up Otto’s Shrunken Head for a new round o’ Punk Rope! Tickets are $10.

COMEDY: Tonight hit up Union Hall for Stellar Underground w/ Nore Davis! Lineup includes Hari Kondabolu, Napoleon Emill and more, and tickets are $10 a pop.

FILM: Catch a preview of The Sound of Silence over at the Bell House tonight! It’s a Secret Science Club and IFC Films presentation, so it’s F-R-E-E!

FOOD + DRINK: Take a $50 foraging class with Steve Brill at Farm. One tonight, duh! (URBAN FORAGING IS THE COOLEST.)

FREE: Only a few more opportunities to take advantage of Summer Tuesdays at the Guggenheim, y’all! Tonight you can attend a discussion about the social impacts of housing design with Anna Puigjaner and Jessica Katz, or enjoy the museum’s exhibitions in a meditative state of mind from 8 to 9 pm.

MUSIC: Hit up a $26 Real Friends, pronoun and Keep Flying gig at Brooklyn Bazaar, obviously!

STAY IN: US Open quarterfinals, boiiii! Serena Williams and Roger Federer descend on Arthur Ashe c. 7pm. (But also Bachelor In Paradise is on, you know, in the event you hate tennis.)
