We’re back for a new round of NYC Best Weekday Bets! Each day will feature a top pick in the areas of 1. fitness (active), 2. comedy, 3. culture, 4. film, 5. food + drink, 6. free, 7. music and 8. staying in (because let’s face it, sometimes you just want to not leave your couch, especially when it continues to be cold AF outside). Lots on the books this first couple of weekdays INCLUDING but not limited to sound baths, David Cross and MORE:

Monday, April 9

ACTIVE: Been thinking about a bike share but feel pretty clueless? REI is here to the rescue! They’re hosting a crash course in everything you need to know tonight, and it’s F-R-E-E!

COMEDY: There are still somehow tickets left to see David Cross at the Bell House tonight, so obviously grab one for $15 and GO!

CULTURE: Get to the NYPL for a panel on preserving net neutrality, which is free to attend w/ RSVP!

FILM: Catch a $4 screening of Jawbreaker at Syndicated, DUH!

FOOD + DRINK: The Humane League is hosting its Vegan Spring Fling at VSpot Organic tonight, so if you’re into not eating animals or animal products, probably swing by!

FREE: Make a point to pop over to The Keep for tonight’s Thrift On party! Bring clothing or other stuff (clean, please!) that you want to add to the rummage tables, and leave with lots of rad free stuff that other people have brought!

MUSIC: TOMI is setting up shop at Elsewhere this evening, so be sure to snag a $10 ticket and get on over there!

STAY IN: Sorry to do it to you again, but you should hundo-percent watch Antiques Roadshow on PBS.

Tuesday, April 10

ACTIVE: Okay, I know a sound bath is essentially lying on your back for like ninety minutes, but it’s supposed to be very relaxing! And I think that’s important post-taxes! So head to Magick City for one, and pay a suggested donation of $21!

COMEDY: Support gun safety with those comedy vibes tonight – David Cross, Shalewa Sharpe and more will be at Littlefield for a benefit show, and tickets are just $8-$10 each.

CULTURE: Get to IFC Center tonight to catch BOOM FOR REAL: THE LATE TEENAGE YEARS OF JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT!

FILM: Catch a spooktacular $4 screening of American Psycho over at good old Syndicated tonight!

FOOD + DRINK: Sorry to be pushing vegan stuff on you again, but like, does NYC Vegan Drag Show Fundraiser not sound like the greatest thing of all time? $20 suggested donation.

FREE: Pop by Extra Fancy for a record fair tonight! The vinyl is obviously not free, but there’s no cover, and you can probably snag some sweet deals!

MUSIC: The obvious choice (for me, anyway) would be to head to Baby’s All Right for a $10 show from Gold Child, Shana Falana and more!

STAY IN: Bring It On is on Freeform, so I mean…obviously we’re watching that, you guys.

Wednesday, April 11

ACTIVE: If you don’t mind a trip out to Jersey City, take advantage of an hour of yoga, Departed Soles brewery tour AND a glass of beer, all for $10!

COMEDY: Head to Wonders of Nature for What’s Your Damage w/ Marcia Belsky, Gary Richardson and more! Tickets are just $5 each.

CULTURE: It’s the opening night of the Tribeca Film Festival! Prepare to get real cultured by way of film, y’all!

FILM: Syndicated wins again! They’re showing Cruel Intentions tonight for just $4.

FOOD + DRINK: Ramps are back, baby! Hit up Delaware and Hudson for its second annual ramps dinner tonight!

FREE: Go watch The Master at Brooklyn Bazaar for all of zero dollars!

MUSIC: Head to Bowery Ballroom tonight to catch a $15 show from The Cactus Blossoms!

STAY IN: I would be lying if I told you I wasn’t ultra-amped for NOVA’s two-hour special about climate change on PBS tonight. I am so sorry.
